Thanksgiving
Day is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States
and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest
and of the preceding year.
Let's learn more about this holiday and play some games:
Fall is in the air, leaves are changing colours, in Galicia we celebrate a chestnut party ( O Magosto) and in the USA people celebrate barbecues at their backyards.

Let's remember some vocabulary about food and play some games:
The elements of art are sort of like atoms in that both serve as
"building blocks." A similar activity happens when the elements of
art are combined. Instead of hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, etc., in art you've got:
Artists manipulate these seven elements, mix them in with principles of
design and compose a piece of art. Not every work has every last one of these
elements contained within it, but there are always at least two present.
LET'S HAVE A LOOK TO THIS VIDEO, EXPLAINING THESE CONCEPTIONS:

23 April is a symbolic date for world literature for on this date in 1616, Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. It is also the date of birth or death of other prominent authors such as Maurice Druon, Haldor K.Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel MejÃa Vallejo.
It was a natural choice for UNESCO's General Conference, held in Paris in 1995, to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone, and in particular young people, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a renewed respect for the irreplaceable contributions of those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.

The
"Lawrence Textile Strike" or "Bread ans Roses
strike" was a strike of immigrant workers
in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1912 led by
the Industrial Workers of the World.
Prompted
by one mill owner's decision to lower wages when a new law shortening
the workweek went into effect in January, the strike spread rapidly
through the town, growing to more than twenty thousand workers at
nearly every mill within a week.
The
strike lasted more than 2 months.
The
slogan "Bread and Roses" originated in a poem of that name
by James Oppenheim, published in The American
Magazine in December 1911, which attributed it to "the
women in the West."

safeguard the world’s linguistic diversity among policy-makers, speaker
communities and the general public, and to be a tool to monitor the
status of endangered languages and the trends in linguistic diversity at
